Mr Philip Rahmanou has extensive background and training in urogynaecology, minimal access surgery, pelvic floor reconstruction and general gynaecology. He completed a sub-specialty fellowship in urogynaecology and advanced training in laparoscopic benign gynaecological surgery at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, prior to starting his consultant post at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in 2014.
During his training, Mr Philip Rahmanou completed a Doctorate of Medicine at the University of London in the field of Urogynaecology. In his research he gained extensive experience in the investigations used for the assessment of women with pelvic floor dysfunction and management of pelvic floor disorders. Mr Philip Rahmanou has also published a number of papers investigating of pelvic floor function and laparoscopic pelvic floor reconstruction.
