Anna is a full-time lead Urogynaecology Advanced Nurse Practitioner having worked with an established team of urogynaecologists and women’s health physiotherapists for the last 12 years.
As a Urogynaecology Advanced Nurse Practitioner, her role comprises the care of women who have pelvic floor dysfunction and incontinence. It encompasses assessment, investigation and appropriate management or referral of women who have lower urinary tract disorders, prolapse or faecal incontinence. She practises independently as well as within the urogynaecology team. She also has strong links with physiotherapy (for the pelvic floor) and community continence teams.
She believes that conservative management is an essential first-line treatment for women with incontinence or prolapse and that the nurse specialist role is vital both in care provision and also in liaison with other treatments.
